D.3 Test Pulses G1 and G2
Pulse G1 represents the transient produced due to sudden disconnection of the battery from the alternator. The test pulse is
equivalent to Test Pulse 5a delineated in ISO 7637-2 (2004-06-15). Pulse G1 characteristics are illustrated in Figure D-9.
Pulse G2 represents a voltage clamped transient produced due to sudden disconnection of the battery from an alternator fitted
with Central Load Dump (CLD) Protection. Pulse G2 characteristics are illustrated in Figure D-10.
